For anyone who may not have heard, there will be a Democratic
mayoral debate tonight at 7pm on NY1. Bill Thompson and Tony Avella will go head to head. Hopefully, this will begin to shine a light on the two candidates who are not billioniares, belong to the same party for the long haul, and who aren't afraid to debate.
Public sections could be much more filthy and corrupt without check
ReplyDeleteand oversight. Any private company without its monopoly of a
particular business sector has to answer to its bottom line in short
period of time or risks to be squeezed out and replaced by its
competitions. A manager without proper oversight by the people in any public section does not have to worry about competitions, shortage of funds, even ruinous lawsuits. A mayor for life
like Bloomberg without check and balance could prove to be extremely
dangerous to the city and its people.
